Professional Development


ASIS is dedicated to the professional development of its members and is constantly striving to improve professionalism and liaisons in the security and law enforcement communities.  Members are encouraged to seek professional development through education, partnership and mentoring.


In order to develop and maintain professionally qualified people, ASIS Chapter 40 has installed liaisons for various aspects of security and law enforcement.  The following ASIS Chapter 40 members will be responsible for such development.



ASIS OC Law Enforcement Liaison

ASIS OC Women in Security Liaison

The Law Enforcement Liaison is responsible for developing and maintaining liaison with local, state and federal law enforcement agencies with the purpose of fostering professional working relations.

The Women in Security Liaison is responsible for mentoring, providing resources and training options to women who are, or desire to be in the security profession.  Click here for the Women in Security Brochure to learn more.


The liaison is also responsible for recruiting qualified women into the field and into ASIS as well as providing guidance to the individual on professional certifications in ASIS.

ASIS International Career Center

The Young Professionals Liaison is responsible for mentoring, providing resources and training options to those persons who are new to, desire to start a career in the security profession.


In addition, the liaison is also responsible for recruiting qualified individuals into the field, into ASIS and providing guidance on professional certifications in ASIS.
